Consumer Price Index flat in November, up 2.5 percent year-on-year

The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) was unchanged in November rising 0.3 percent in October. Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 2.2 percent, down from 2.5 percent from October.



Rise in Producer Price Index slipped in November, up 2.5 percent year-on-year

The Producer Price Index for final demand edged up 0.1 percent in November, a sharp drop from October’s 0.6 percent.  The index was up 2.5 percent year-on-year in November, down from 2.9 percent in October.



Atlanta Fed:  Business inflation expectations tick up to 2.3 percent over the next year

Firms’ year-ahead inflation expectations increased somewhat to 2.3 percent.  Firms expect their unit costs to increase by 2.9 percent, on average, over the long term (per year, over the next five to 10 years).
