2025 RESNET Cross Border Builder Challenge US and Canadian Winners

The 2025 RESNET® Cross Border Builder Challenge recognized outstanding achievements in energy-efficient home construction across the U.S. and Canada. Beazer Homes received the RESNET Southern Climates President’s Award with an average HERS® score of 32, while Lennar Minnesota earned the Northern Climates President’s Award with a score of 38. Minto Communities was honored with the CRESNET President’s Award for Canadian builders, achieving an average score of 44. These awards highlight the commitment of builders to constructing homes that prioritize energy efficiency and sustainability.

Other notable winners include Zero Net Now of New York, recognized as the U.S. Zero Energy Builder with a HERS score of -1, and Lindvest of Ontario, named the Canadian Zero Energy Builder with a score of 38. TE Studio in Minneapolis achieved the lowest HERS score among U.S. custom builders at 27, while Townwood Homes in Ontario led Canadian custom builders with a score of 42. Additional awards were presented for water efficiency and innovation, with KB Home receiving the U.S. HERSH2O® Award and Rosehaven Homes of Ontario earning the Canadian counterpart. Empire Communities of Ontario was honored with the RESNET/CRESNET Low Carbon Award, and Campanale Homes of Ottawa received the Enbridge Innovation Award.
