August new home sales rose 3.5 percent from July and 12.7 percent year-on-year
Sales of new single-family houses in August 2018 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 629,000.
July Case-Shiller index up 0.4 percent from June and 6.0 percent year-on-year
The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price NSA Index, covering all nine U.S. census divisions, reported a 6.0% annual gain in July, down from 6.2% in the previous month.
September consumer confidence remains at 18-year high
After a considerable improvement in August, Consumer Confidence increased further in September and hovers at an 18-year high. The September reading is not far from the all-time high of 144.7 reached in 2000.
