Cityview Acquires Dinerstein Companies’ Interest in DECO, 350-unit multifamily community in Denver

Walkable, LEED Gold-certified community features unique amenities honoring region’s mountain culture

DENVER – March 15, 2021 – Cityview, a premier urban multifamily investment management and development firm, today announced it has acquired Dinerstein Companies’ interest in DECO, a 350-unit rental community in the University Park region of Denver. The property is managed by Cityview’s property management division, Westhome. A transit-oriented development with immediate access to light rail, the five-story mid-rise community features a range of open floor plans and an extensive set of amenities. The centrally located apartments completed construction and opened for leasing in Q4 2019.

“DECO provides an authentic Denver experience to discerning renters who are seeking an urban lifestyle experience with easy access to jobs, walkable regional amenities and transit,” says Sean Burton, CEO of Cityview. “As we strive for with all Cityview communities, DECO is designed to celebrate its city and to deliver an exceptional housing alternative to area residents.”

DECO reflects Cityview’s penchant for creating carefully curated communities for renters. It features a number of amenities aimed at complementing Denver’s mountain culture, including an onsite ski simulator and gear lounge equipped with ski and boot lockers, as well as space for snowboards, mountain bikes and kayaks. Roof decks are designed to highlight pristine mountain views with outdoor seating, a fireplace, TV, drink ledge and ski gondola.

Additional amenities include: a dog park and spa; business center with coffee bar and two-sided fireplace; coworking area with individual conference rooms; workstations; library; mail room with automated package retrieval system; club room with commercial kitchen (available for private use); fitness center with cardio and weight equipment; massage room and contactless digital yoga/spin/Pilates instruction. The property also features a resort style pool with a soaking shelf, private cabana areas, hot tub, outdoor firepit and poolside lounge with covered outdoor seating and a bar area.

An LEED Gold-certified community, DECO has a variety of energy efficient features, including LED and other high-efficacy lighting, minimal use of turf to reduce water usage, a well-insulated exterior, energy efficient windows and HVAC equipment and low VOC paint, sealants and carpet. Each unit is heated by water heaters, a highly efficient method that utilizes hot water lines to circulate heat.

DECO offers residents a variety of floorplan options, including a mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments. Units are designed with open floorplans to maximize functionality and livability. Up to 11-foot ceilings are joined with contemporary vinyl wood flooring, stainless steel appliances, front loading washers/dryers, designer cabinetry, quartz countertops, dual vanity baths, walk-in closets and keyless door entry. Expansive vinyl windows enhance natural lighting indoors, while Nest thermostats give renters easy automated temperature control for optimum comfort.

Situated on a 3.49-acre premier suburban site along the 5.7-million-square-foot Colorado Boulevard Retail Corridor, DECO boasts an enviable location just south of Cherry Creek at 2180 S. Colorado Boulevard. The community is located just one block from RTD Light Rail at Colorado Station, offering easy transit to Downtown Denver and Denver Tech Center (DTC) Business Corridor – the largest employment center in the state and home to approximately 150,000 jobs. Major companies within the corridor include DISH Network, Level 3 Communications, Toyota, Time Warner Cable and XO Communications. The community also sits adjacent to I-25, providing fast access to downtown amenities, regional employers and University of Denver.

“This region is adjacent to a bustling employment center and has record demand for quality, amenity-rich housing that offers a heightened lifestyle experience, and DECO helps fill this void,” adds Burton.

The Dinerstein Companies collaborated with Cuningham Group for architecture, Shaw Construction for general contracting and KAI for interior design services.
