Should Congress Put a Price on Carbon?

Climate change is costing our nation millions.

Climate change has cost our nation an upwards of $94 million dollars in 2020 alone and that number keeps rising. As climate change worsens, disasters become larger resulting in more deaths and destruction to our buildings, forests and roads. According to The Hill, the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act is which is a market-based approach to addressing climate change. This legislation would put a price on carbon, placing a fee on C02 emissions and then returning 100 percent of the net revenue to the American people in the form of a rebate.
