Construction has started on the first phase of a $1.5 billion residential community planned between Fort Worth and Denton. The 1,157-acre Pecan Square community is planned for more than 3,000 new homes. Developer Hillwood Communities has broken ground in the town of Northlake for the first phase of the community, which will have 630 homes. “We are excited to continue our partnership with the town of Northlake to drive conscious growth, support economic development, and provide communal spaces for the town to gather,” Fred Balda, president of Hillwood Communities, said in a statement.
