Noted as the seventh largest homebuilder in the U.S., Meritage Homes has enables energy-ef cient living long before it was a market standard. Meritage offers a variety of homes that are designed with a focus on first-time and first move-up buyers in nine states across the U.S.
Communities are focused on advanced building techniques, water-saving features and climate-sealed protection for a smarter home that offers long-term savings for homeowners.
The homebuilder recently announced the launch of Design Collections, a transformative, industry-first approach to the design process offering curated options for move-up buyers. Additionally, Meritage Homes shared the findings from a new consumer research study that provided the strategic foundation that drove the development of the new Design Collections and Studio M® experience. Instead of searching through thousands of samples for cabinets, countertops and flooring, the Design Collections and the Studio M experience provides buyers with Collections built around expertly coordinated ooring, cabinets, countertops and more that work together perfectly.
Steven J. Hilton, chairman and chief executive officer of Meritage Homes, commented, “The robust demand we experienced in 2019 has continued into this year. Homebuyers’ con dence is high and mortgage rates remain at historical lows, making new homes more affordable and allowing more people to purchase their rst home or move to a new home that better suits their needs. With our entry-level LiVE.NOW.® homes and innovative Studio M® design studios for move-up buyers, we make the buying and decorating decisions easier, more transparent and ef cient for our customers.”
“For the full year 2020,” continued Hilton, “we are projecting 9,700-10,200 total home closings and ASP’s between $360-370,000, with home closing gross margin in the mid-19’s percent and a tax rate of approximately 22 percent.”
The latest community in the queue for Meritage is The Quarry at Stoneridge in Melissa, Texas, a new home community designed to appeal to first-time homebuyers and priced from the low $280,000s. Meritage Homes will offer seven floor plans with both single and two-story designs that range from 2,059 to 3,100 square feet. With demand for new homes increasing among first-time buyers who want to escape escalating rents, Meritage Homes has designed an entry-level line of homes that include many features typical in more expensive, move-up homes – kitchen islands, home automation features and granite counter tops, as well as upgraded cabinets, laundry rooms, plumbing fixtures and appliances – including sustainable features that homebuyers are looking for today.
