Historic newspaper building upcycled into urban apartments

The historic Troy Record building, home to the newspaper since 1906, stood vacant after then newspaper offices relocated to newer, smaller quarters in the city. Occupying a prominent corner at 5th and Broadway in downtown Troy, the historic 50,000-square-foot building was converted to residential and retail space that, along with a new building next door, will offer 101 loft-style residences known as The News Apartments.
