The meal drive runs from Oct. 12 to Nov. 13
In partnership with the OC Food Bank of CAP/OC, HomeAid Orange County hosts an annual Thanksgiving Meal Drive, aimed at collecting non-perishable, canned foods as well as grocery gift cards for families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness, so they can have food on the table for Thanksgiving Dinner.
The donated food is put into boxes, providing food for a Thanksgiving meal. One donated grocery gift card is given per family so that they can purchase foods for a Thanksgiving meal. Overall, HomeAid Orange County has a goal of assembling 1,000 Thanksgiving meals boxes with the help from volunteers and donors.
How to Get Involved
Sponsorships are available for the 2020 Thanksgiving Meal Drive. Advertising benefits are throughout October and November, supporting both the Thanksgiving Meal Drive and Homelessness Awareness Month 2020.
Host a Donation Site
We provide you with the donation box. All you have to do is encourage your community to donate nonperishable food and $20-$25 grocery gift cards to your donation box. On November 12, you drop-off the donations that you’ve collected at Harvesting to End Hunger Day in Parking Lot 5 of the Honda Center. Contact email@example.com with any questions.

Volunteer on Nov 12 and 24
Help unload and sort the thousands of donated food items on Nov. 12 at the Honda Center during Harvesting Hope to End Hunger Day. Three volunteer shifts available!
Make meal boxes and help put Thanksgiving dinner on the table for those in need this holiday season. Volunteer at Meal Box Assembly Day on Nov. 14 at the OC Food Bank. Two volunteers shifts available.
