Homebuilder breaks ground on new age-restricted community

Atlanta-based PulteGroup has broken ground on six model homes at Del Webb Bexley, an 850-residence, age-restricted community in Land O’ Lakes. The residences, according to a press release, are designed for pre-retirement and retiring boomers who remain active intellectually, socially and physically. Del Webb specializes in active-adult communities targeted to the 55 and up demographic, and the Land O’Lakes project represents the first Del Webb community to be built from the ground up in the Tampa Bay area since 1960.
