Insight Homes hosted a ribbon cutting for their newest furnished model in Millsboro, Delaware. in April. Receiving widespread praise in the previous section, The Woods at Stonewater Creek, Insight Homes is continuing their work in the Stonewater Creek community. The newest section, The Reserve at Stonewater Creek, has already garnered attention from prospective homebuyers.
The team began construction for The Reserve section of homes in mid-2017.
The newly opened model home features the community’s most sought after floor plan in The Reserve, called the Whatley, which offers families versatility. It features three bedrooms; two bathrooms; a private, first floor owner’s suite with expansive walk-in closet; two-car garage; and a spacious kitchen with wooden cabinets and granite countertops. The Whatley was voted Best Green Home by the Home Builders Association of Delaware in 2016. With this floor plan, homeowners have a variety of customizable options, including a second story, with up to three additional bedrooms.
“This was a popular plan in other communities, but the model and community already existed, we just took over building,” says Insight Homes Marketing Manager Lisa Thornton. “We took our popular Whatley floor plan and added a new elevation for this new furnished model.”
Furnished by a professional interior design team, the model emanates a chic and elegant feel with a coastal flair.
“The Whatley was one of our best sellers in 2017,” says Thornton. “It’s one of my favorite floor plans we offer. The Coastal Elevation with its board and batten trim, metal roof accents, and charming, round windows has a ton of curb appeal. Once people see this beautifully furnished model, we anticipate the sales of our Whatley to increase further over the next year.”
The model turned out beautifully, and you can see the thought the team has put into ensuring privacy for the homeowner. Overall, The Reserve at Stonewater Creek community feels secluded, surrounded by thick woods or farmland. The way that you enter the community shows the rear of the house to be exposed, so Insight Homes paid special attention to the design of the rear elevation to give homeowners privacy—including a special patio design with an outdoor fireplace in the new furnished model.
Stonewater Creek attracts locals and vacationers alike— retirees looking to relocate to Delaware due to low taxes, locals looking for a new home, or vacationers looking for a vacation home. Located just outside of Millsboro, Del., this community is within half an hour of all the Delaware beaches and tax-free outlet shopping, but also close to local schools and businesses for locals looking to live here year-round.
Highlights include spacious, half-acre or larger lots, many of which border tree lines, and a freshly remodeled community clubhouse, fitness center, pool, and tennis court. And the larger lots offer homeowners the ability to purchase Insight’s wider floor plans and even allow for options like a three-car garage with side entry. Just minutes from Long Neck, Millsboro, Georgetown, and the beaches, The Reserve at Stonewater Creek is the perfect community for year-round or seasonal living.
The homes also maintain an array of green features to save homeowners money. These include R-49 attic insulation and R-23 wall insulation. ZIP System sheathing and tape, York Affinity Series, 18-SEER HVAC system, low-E windows, PEX plumbing with MANABLOC System, and Rinnai tankless hot water heater.
Insight Homes takes great pride in the indoor air quality achieved in each home they build. Seeing as the EPA has reported that indoor air quality is worse than outdoor air quality, Insight is dedicated to using innovative technology and cutting-edge techniques to build a healthier homes. Each is built to meet or exceed strict indoor air quality recommendations.
“Our homes being extremely energy efficient keeps the energy bills low, so there are no surprises throwing a wrench in the monthly budget,” Thornton says. “This also allows families to afford more in a home. Not spending as much on energy costs allows our homeowners to afford more for the mortgage each month.”
As a committed DoE partner who provides certified Zero Energy Ready Homes, Insight Homes is in the top one percent of builders in the U.S. meeting the levels of excellence in energy and performance specified by the national program requirements. This dedication to building efficient new homes in Delaware is what sets Insight apart from many builders in the area.
In fact, Insight’s commitment to superior homebuilding recently resulted in their acceptance of fifteen awards at the 26th annual Regal Awards hosted by the Home Builders Association of Delaware. Accolades included Best Green Community Home and best Active Adult Community Home. Nine members of the sales team also earned awards for individual achievements.
Next up, Insight Homes is looking to develop other pieces of land in the vicinity to increase their presence in the region and provide customers with more location options. Insight Homes is currently building in more than 20 communities in Southern Delaware and Wicomico County, Maryland.
