Top Green Building Trends Call for Net Zero and Wellness

Industry professionals share their takeaways from the top green homebuilding trends from the 2024 International Builders Show. In their findings, next up for the industry’s top priorities are net zero and wellness design, more financing to fund third-party, training young professionals, developers on the hunt for greener buildings and manufacturers leaning towards producing sustainable products.

Financing is driving green certifications

Another trend from IBS 2024 was green financing and energy efficiency incentives. There were many educational sessions on these topics. Michelle discussed green financing and available incentives during her session in Multi-Family Central: “Are Multifamily Green Building Certifications Worth the Trouble?”. This session also discussed Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting benefits and using NGBS Green for code compliance.
