US homes edge up in April, in time for spring homebuying season

Home prices were up in all 50 states in April and are expected to continue to rise.

And with prices on the rise, over a third of the top US housing markets are currently overvalued, according to a newly released report by CoreLogic. Over the last year, national home prices rose by 6.9 percent in April, and 1.2 percent on a monthly basis. Washington State recorded the greatest home price appreciation in April, with home prices rising 12.8 percent annually.
