Zero Energy Ready Home Single-Family v2 Revision 2 Training Requirements

Single-family homes permitted on or after Jan. 1, 2025, and seeking the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Zero Energy Ready Home (ZERH) program certification are required to meet ZERH version 2, revision 2 requirements. DOE has now created a new training video for the single family ZERH v2, revision 2. This training will cover the key updates from revision 1 to revision 2.

According to RESNET,This new training video can be accessed for free on the RESNET® Training Portal and should take about 15 minutes to complete (select the “ZERH Single Family V2, Revision 2 Training”). After successfully passing the quiz at the end,  HERS® Raters and RFIs should enter their RTIN or RFIIN so the training can be logged in the RESNET Registry. (Note: this training video is also available on the DOE website, but it must be taken through the RESNET Training Portal so it can be tracked in the RESNET Registry and avoid rejection of ZERH Ratings for Raters that haven’t completed the training).
